Daniel started his career in the U.S. in 1998 at Republic National Bank of New York, were he joined the Management Training Program of the bank; he then stayed with HSBC Republic and was an early member in forming and leading the Investment Advisory Group for the International Private Bank.
In 2003, Daniel joined UBS International in NY as a team member of four Financial Advisors, were he helped build and manage clients’ portfolios for HNW and UHNW clients from Latin America. In 2006, he joined management and took the responsibility of Sales Manager for UBS International in Coral Gables, a branch with over 60 Financial Advisors covering Central and Latin America.
From 2008 through 2018 Daniel was a member of the investment and trading desk at SPNY Capital LP in New York, a Private Investment Fund of a Single Family Office with a Global Macro focus.
Daniel holds a degree in Business Administration (‘94) with a major in Management from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela; and a MBA (‘97) from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale Arizona.
As part of his extracurricular activities, Daniel has been a member of Hatzolah a volunteer Emergency Medical Service (EMS) organization in New York City for over 16 years.
